The 6 cheek (15 cm) has a 2-1/2 (6.30 cm) purchase and a 3-1/2 (8.9 cm) shank. 

A slight step up from the snaffle. Applies pressure to the chin, bars and corners of the mouth. Gives added pressure to the tongue for more feel.

The mouthpiece is inlaid with copper to stimulate salivation. The mouthpiece is 5-1/8 standard (13 cm) wide, 3/8 (0.95 cm) in diameter, and curved to shape to the corner of the mouth for soft, evenly distributed pressure to the bars, tongue, and corners of the mouth
